Murrysville's Culinary Landscape Heats Up with Dee Jay's BBQ Ribs & Grille's Arrival!

Murrysville is buzzing with anticipation as a new culinary delight, Dee Jay's BBQ Ribs & Grille, is set to anchor at the Blue Spruce Shoppes in the coming months. This transition comes as Mike McMullen takes over the North Park Lounge Murrysville from Mark Baranowski, with a vision to bring the over 40-year-old Weirton BBQ favorite closer to the Pittsburgh community.

The changeover, expected to kick off in earnest in the fourth quarter, promises a tantalizing ribs menu by November. This is part of a six-month transition plan that will see the spacious 13,000 square feet restaurant at Blue Spruce Shoppes undergo some kitchen upgrades including the introduction of smokers for that authentic BBQ flavor.

This exciting venture is not just a win for BBQ aficionados but also a significant addition to the local dining scene, enriching the culinary diversity at the Blue Spruce Shoppes alongside existing eateries. The arrival of Dee Jay's BBQ Ribs & Grille is eagerly awaited as it opens a new chapter of delightful dining experiences in Murrysville.

The National Drug Take Back Day is an essential initiative happening on Saturday, October 28th, from 10am to 2pm at the Murrysville police station. This event is part of a nationwide effort to ensure the safe and responsible disposal of unused or expired prescription drugs, thereby contributing to the safety and well-being of the community.

Unused or expired medications can become a hazard if they fall into the wrong hands, leading to dangerous or even tragic situations. The National Drug Take Back Day provides a secure and convenient solution to this problem, allowing community members to clear out their medicine cabinets and dispose of these substances in a safe manner.

Here's how to participate:

  • Collect all unused or expired prescription drugs from your home.

  • Bring them to the local police station on October 28th between 10am and 2pm.

  • The designated team will ensure the safe and proper disposal of the medications, no questions asked.

This initiative is an excellent opportunity to contribute to community safety and promote a healthier environment for all. Everyone is encouraged to participate and to spread the word among neighbors, friends, and family.

Mark your calendars for October 28th and take a step towards creating a safer community by participating in the National Drug Take Back Day. Your involvement can make a significant difference in promoting a drug-free community and ensuring the well-being of all residents.

🐕‍🦺 Tail Wags and Tender Trims: Discover the Heartfelt Journey of Ashley's Paws and Claws, Your Mobile Pet Care Companion!

Today's Murrysville Local Scoop Business spotlight is warming the hearts of pet parents as we bring into focus Ashley's Paws and Claws, a mobile pet care service that has swiftly become a cherished part of the Export community. The venture blossomed from a mom's small side gig into a full-time profession, with a mission to provide tender loving care to our furry companions.

Ashley Leone, the nurturing soul behind this endeavor, carries with her over 15 years of seasoned experience in various avenues of pet care. Her journey began as a way to earn a little extra while her kids were at school, but her deep affection for animals and her impeccable service quickly garnered the trust and affection of local pet owners. Now, Ashley’s days are filled with bringing ease and comfort to pets and their families right at their doorstep.

What sets Ashley's Paws and Claws apart is the unique niche of mobile pet nail trims. As the sole mobile groomer specializing in this service, Ashley has a knack for making nail trims a stress-free experience, even for the most uncooperative pets. Her innovative harness system allows for a gentle yet firm handling of pets, right in the comfort of their homes. But her services don't end at grooming; Ashley offers pet sitting and shares invaluable knowledge with pet parents on better pet care practices.

Ashley's heart beats for more than just her furry clients. During the last holiday season, she ran a program donating a portion of her gratuities to a local shelter, extending her love and care to homeless animals. Her deep-rooted community involvement echoes the essence of kindness and giving back.

As she looks ahead, Ashley envisions expanding her offerings to include private, in-home training, a domain she holds expertise in. Her aspiration to continuously broaden her services while maintaining a personal touch is truly commendable.
