🍁 Keystone State Park Crowned as the Nation's Prime Spot for Fall Foliage Viewing

Keystone State Park, a gem in Westmoreland County, has been recognized nationally, securing its spot as the best place in the nation to witness the mesmerizing beauty of fall foliage. The park has been honored following a national contest where fans and nature enthusiasts came together to elevate it to the pinnacle of USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Award for best fall foliage.

The park was nominated alongside 20 other picturesque locations across the nation, ultimately emerging as the top spot to immerse oneself in the vibrant colors of autumn. Ann Nemanic, the executive director of GO Laurel Highlands, expressed, “Keystone State Park is one of the most photographed spots in our region.” She highlighted the park's enchanting lake setting and spectacular sunsets as "the perfect combination in a photographer’s lens."

Not only is the park a haven for photographers, but it also provides a serene and peaceful setting that is cherished by both local residents and visitors, particularly when the leaves adorn their peak colors in mid-October.

Spanning 1,200 acres, Keystone State Park is not only a seasonal spectacle but is open year-round, offering a plethora of activities and amenities. Visitors can indulge in camping, explore modern cabins, traverse various trails, and enjoy the proximity of a tranquil lake, all within walking distance.

As the leaves transition into their vibrant autumnal hues, Keystone State Park invites one and all to partake in the splendid display of nature, providing a picturesque backdrop for leisure and photography alike. This recognition not only puts the park on the national map but also brings pride to the local community, celebrating the natural beauty that Westmoreland County has to offer.
