Eat’n Park's Murrysville Location Set for Expansion and Enhanced Accessibility.

Eat’n Park is gearing up to revamp its Murrysville branch by introducing a dedicated pick-up window for takeout orders. This new feature is designed for customers who order in advance, either online or via phone, ensuring a streamlined pick-up process without long car lines. Located in the Village of Murrysville shopping center off Route 22, the restaurant is set to grow its space by an additional 1,400 square feet.

This expansion will also herald the return of the salad bar, which had been out of commission due to previous damage. In 2021, the restaurant suffered a setback when a school van, transporting Franklin Regional students, crashed into it.

As part of the broader renovation plan, the restaurant aims to improve accessibility in line with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, both for its restrooms and parking areas. Jesse Stock, the Director of Design and Construction at Eat’n Park, expressed confidence in the brand's takeout service and believes this new feature will be a valuable addition for Murrysville residents. On a related note, the local council has announced a revised meeting schedule for the rest of 2023, with sessions broadcasted live on Comcast Channel 21 and available for streaming on

🎃 Murrysville Trick or Treat Times

Attention Murrysville residents: The official Trick or Treat times have been set! Children and families can go door-to-door on Tuesday, October 31, from 6-8 pm. This is a wonderful time for our community to come together in festive spirit.

For residents who choose not to participate or will be away, we kindly ask that you turn off your porch light. This is a universal signal indicating no treats are available.

Parents, please ensure your children are accompanied by an adult or are in groups, and remind them of road safety rules. Let's make this a fun and safe event for everyone!

Murrysville Attorneys Klingensmith and Petrush Battle for District Judge Seat

In Murrysville, two seasoned attorneys, Robert Klingensmith and Judi Petrush, are contending for the District Court Judge position, aiming to fill the shoes of the retiring Judge Charles Conway. Klingensmith, a Republican with over two decades in the legal field, appreciates the multifaceted roles that district judges undertake, handling a broad spectrum of cases from criminal law to small claims. He believes his diverse legal experiences make him a strong candidate for the role.

Conversely, Judi Petrush, representing the Democrats, has been an integral part of the legal community since 1995, serving as an assistant district attorney. Currently, she is the senior assistant district attorney for Westmoreland County's child abuse and sex crimes unit. Petrush takes pride in her extensive interactions with Westmoreland County's district judges and emphasizes the profound impact they have on community safety and individual lives.

Both candidates come with notable endorsements: Klingensmith is supported by the Murrysville GOP committee, while Petrush has received backing from the Fraternal Order of Police lodges in both Greensburg and the Allegheny Valley.

🍁Murrysville Gears Up for November and December Leaf Collections

The Curbside Leaf Collection Program for Fall 2023 is underway. If you missed the recent collection on October 21, there are still two more dates to take advantage of this service: Saturday, November 18, and Saturday, December 9.

Republic Services will be conducting municipal-wide sweeps to collect leaf and yard waste on these dates. To ensure your waste is collected, it's essential to schedule your pick-up in advance. To do this, please fill out the Curbside Leaf Collection Program Form available on the Municipal website. Simply visit www.murrysville.com, navigate to "About Us," and select "Forms, Permits, & Maps."

Each household is limited to 20 biodegradable bags per collection date. Remember, the cut-off for scheduling is 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday before each pick-up date. Leaves should be packed in biodegradable bags, and yard waste, such as small twigs and brush, should be bundled and placed at the curb alongside the bags. These bundles should not exceed three inches in diameter or 48 inches in length.
