Simply Sleep by Sasha

Murrysville's Simply Sleep by Sasha is a haven for new parents seeking rest and guidance in the challenging first months of parenthood. Founded by Sasha, a registered nurse with a master's degree in Nursing Education and over six years of NICU experience, this service specializes in overnight newborn care, providing a much-needed respite for tired parents.

What sets Simply Sleep by Sasha apart is the professional caliber of its staff. Each team member is a registered nurse with specialized experience in neonatal, labor and delivery, or postpartum care. This expertise is a cornerstone of the service, ensuring that the most vulnerable members of the family are in the safest hands.

The services offered extend beyond mere night nursing. The team provides lactation support, cares for multiples, assists with postnatal care, and offers guidance in establishing healthy sleep habits. They are also equipped to handle the unique needs of premature infants and provide education on a range of topics critical to newborn care.

🍕Murrysville's Pizzeria Makes Waves in Pittsburgh's Esteemed Pizza Rankings

Murrysville's culinary scene has a new star on the rise, with A Slice of New York Pizza earning a coveted spot on the Best Pizza in Pittsburgh list. This recognition is a testament to the establishment's commitment to crafting a pizza that resonates with authenticity and quality.

Sean Jefairjian, the owner of A Slice of New York Pizza, has brought his Bronx roots to Murrysville, delivering a pizza experience that's both nostalgic for New Yorkers and delightful for locals. His dedication to the craft is evident in every slice, with a focus on technical precision and a continuous dialogue with the pizza-making community.

Jefairjian's journey in the pizza business began in 2020, and a recent move to a larger venue in Murrysville has propelled his establishment into the limelight. His pizzas boast a crust that strikes the perfect balance between thin and crisp, complemented by a bright, tangy sauce made from Northern California tomatoes. The use of Sopra low-moisture mozzarella ensures each pie maintains its harmonious flavor profile.

The pizzas are baked to perfection in a state-of-the-art Moretti Forni oven, which guarantees even cooking and a satisfying texture. Jefairjian's meticulous handiwork is evident in the crust's characteristic "hilltops," a result of his unique pre-baking technique.

In a bold move to refine his offerings, Jefairjian has recently shifted to using a sourdough starter and a flour with a lower protein content, bridging the gap between traditional New York City pies and the innovative American baking style.

Residents of Murrysville and pizza aficionados alike can find this slice of the Big Apple at 5656 State Rt. 22, where A Slice of New York Pizza continues to push the boundaries of pizza perfection.

🎅 Murrysville's Sardis Park to Host Enchanting Santa Event with Festive Fun

The Murrysville community is gearing up for the festive season with the return of the beloved 'Santa at Sardis' event, scheduled for December 2nd from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Sardis Park. This annual celebration has become a staple of the community's holiday traditions, offering a variety of family-friendly activities and seasonal delights.

The event promises a day filled with classic winter experiences, including campfires and s’mores, a bonfire, and the much-anticipated horse-drawn carriage rides. In keeping with the holiday spirit, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy hot cocoa and cookies while children can have their photos taken with Santa Claus.

Given the limited parking availability at Sardis Park, event organizers are encouraging families to carpool. They also advise guests to come prepared for potentially muddy conditions by wearing appropriate footwear, such as muck boots, and to consider bringing their own chairs for comfort during the event.

In addition to the festivities, 'Santa at Sardis' is also a community effort, with calls for volunteers to assist with various tasks throughout the day. Those interested in contributing to the holiday cheer can sign up to help or contact the organizers at 724-327-2100 ext. 131 or ext. 115.

Local businesses and organizations are also invited to enhance the event by providing holiday-themed activities and games. Participation inquiries can be made through a form provided by the event coordinators, ensuring a collaborative and engaging experience for all who attend.
