Murrysville Proposes Innovative Zoning Changes for Short-Term Rentals

The Murrysville Council is set to deliberate on a proposed ordinance that will reshape regulations for short-term rental properties, such as Airbnb and VRBO.

This ordinance aims to detach these rentals from existing zoning-based restrictions, offering a more flexible regulatory framework. Additionally, the ordinance proposes a maximum occupancy limit, restricting occupancy to either two individuals per bedroom or a total of ten occupants per property, whichever is lesser. This move by the Council reflects a proactive approach to managing the evolving landscape of short-term rentals in the area.

Mayor Zaccagnini Presents a Stable Financial Outlook for Export in 2024

The Export borough in Pennsylvania is set to promote a $1.1 million budget for 2024, notable for not including a tax increase. Mayor Joe Zaccagnini highlighted the town's fortunate financial position, noting that the budget closely mirrors that of the previous year.

This stability is attributed to savings from improvements in the sewage system and increased interest in various accounts. The council plans to publicize the budget proposal and is scheduled to make a final decision in December.

⚽️ Franklin Regional Seeks New Coach as Lukas Petersen Departs for Maryland

Franklin Regional High School is seeking a new coach following Lukas Petersen's departure to Maryland. Petersen leaves a strong team, with most starters returning from a 12-9 season that saw them reach the WPIAL Class 3A semifinals.

Notable players like Joey Bayne and Noah Walker are among the returnees. The Panthers showed promise but faced defeats in critical matches, including a loss to Hampton. Petersen, reflecting on his tenure, hopes his impact will be lasting.
