📍Fuhrer Wholesale Unveils Mega Warehouse: A Beer and Soda Distribution Powerhouse in Salem

Frank Fuhrer III recently celebrated the opening of a new expansive 300,000-square-foot warehouse for his beer and soda distribution business, Fuhrer Wholesale, in Salem.

Positioned strategically for efficient access to Routes 22 and 66, the $55 million facility began its construction journey last summer. Upon completion, it is projected to provide jobs for over 100 individuals. Fuhrer Wholesale boasts a diverse portfolio, distributing products from as many as 75 suppliers throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. This includes major brands like Bud Light and local specialties such as Westmoreland’s Helltown Brewing.

The decision to establish this vast warehouse in Westmoreland County was driven by the company's growth and the subsequent space limitations at their original Pittsburgh South Side location. A testament to their growth, in 2021, the company reported sales of 15.5 million cases of beer and currently employs over 300 individuals. The new facility is on track to be in full operation by November.

🏈 Franklin Regional Shines Despite Tough Loss: Murrysville's Spirit Undeterred!

Gateway overcame an initial 0-3 season record to secure a 44-24 victory against the reigning conference champions, Franklin Regional, in the Class 5A Big East Conference opener.

The Gators' performance was boosted by the return of their starting quarterback, Brad Birch, who had been recovering from a car accident. Birch and receiver Steve Jenkins formed a dynamic duo, contributing significantly to the win.

While Franklin Regional started strong, a pivotal moment occurred when a fumble led to a 40-yard touchdown for Gateway. Both teams' coaches acknowledged the challenges and efforts of their respective squads.
