โฝ๏ธ Franklin Regional's Soccer Coach Petersen Announces Exit
Lukas Petersen, the head coach of Franklin Regional's boys soccer team, has announced his departure after this season. The decision is linked to his wife, Leslie Carrese, accepting a new job in Baltimore. Petersen made the announcement to his team ahead of the playoffs. Despite his impending exit, the Panthers are gearing up for the WPIAL Class 3A third-place match, aiming for a spot in the PIAA playoffs. Petersen, who has a professional soccer background in Europe, expressed hope that his impact on the team would be long-lasting. Full Story @ TribLive
๐ Murrysville Man Cleared of Charges in Steelers QB SUV Theft Case
Charges were dropped on Monday against Christopher Carter, 60, from Murrysville, who was previously accused of stealing Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett's SUV from a Monroeville car dealership. District Judge Jeffrey L. Herbst dismissed the charges, and Carter paid $3,000 in restitution.
The incident occurred on May 24 when Pickett was at Bowser Chevrolet in Monroeville for advertising work. Carter had also been at the dealership and left his own car there. Pickett's 2023 Hyundai Genesis subsequently went missing. Surveillance video from the dealership was used by investigators to identify and arrest Carter. When the police located the SUV in Carter's driveway, it had new scratches and scuffs. Pickett's playbook, which had been inside the SUV, was returned to him.
